Conference tourism

The business tourism offer of the Girona area joins the Spanish PCO circuit.

MARCH 2014

The Spanish National PCO Conference was held for the first time in Girona from 15th to 18th February, attended by 180 professional conference organisers. This year's conference focused on the development of practical strategies and the application of new technologies in PCO companies.

The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona organised and sponsored the conference, with the collaboration of the Girona Convention Bureau, the Lloret Convention Bureau, Girona City Council, the Girona Hotel and Restaurant Association and the Catalan Tourism Agency, which coordinated the conference's social programme. The social programme was designed to enable conference delegates to discover the standout conference venues of the Girona area, along with the area's cultural, gastronomic and leisure tourism offer. The programme included cultural visits to Girona's Old Quarter, the historical monuments of Peralada and the Gala - Dalí Castle in Púbol, along with the chance to sample the local cuisine in various establishments, prepared by local gastronomic associations, and activities in the town of Lloret de Mar, among other things.
