The Roca brothers presented "A year of sensations as the best restaurant in the world" in front of 80 international journalists

El Celler de Can Roca restaurant is still on the podium of the best restaurants in the world, even though it has moved from top spot to second place, according to last Monday’s Restaurant Magazine awards. At the same time, however, Jordi Roca Fontané was named as the world’s best pastry chef. The awards, presented in London on 28 April, coincided with the third edition of "Breakfast with stars of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees”, organised by the Girona Provincial Council’s Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board. This event, organised by the Tourist Board and held at the Mandarin Hotel in London, aimed to highlight the gastronomy of Girona and the Costa Brava. It was attended by a hundred journalists and opinion leaders in the fields of gastronomy and tourism from all over the world, together with the Roca brothers, from El Celler de Can Roca, named the best restaurant in the world by Restaurant Magazine in 2013. The Roca brothers, Joan, Josep and Jordi, gave a talk on "A year of sensations as the best restaurant in the world", in which they described their experience running the restaurant. The talk, which was attended by a hundred international journalists, was followed by a breakfast featuring products from Girona. The President of the Girona Provincial Council and Chairman of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, Joan Giraut, and the Director of the Catalan Tourist Board, Xavier Espasa, took part in the event.
