Actions for opinion leaders

Fifty-five opinion leaders visit the destination, including journalists, content creators and specialized travel agents.


In June, the destination hosted journalists from various means of national and international communication -The País, The Independent, Magazine Plus, Margriet-, who carried out tailored programmes focused primarily on producing articles and reports centred on the destination’s cultural offerings, active tourism and gourmet food and wine experiences.

Meanwhile, numerous digital content creators developed blog trip programmes focused on the destination with the goal of producing quality, segmented and current content for their followers. Notably, the visit of 25 

content creators from the national agency Keepers Bootcamp took part in a creative retreat on the Costa Brava, during which they explored the destination and enjoyed wine and gastronomy experiences, wellbeing and nature based activities. Meanwhile, the authors of the travel blog Carretera y Canta, and of the blog Sin Coordenadas, as well as the instagrammers @wineandthecity among others also visited the destination to create proposal content for the summer of an active, cultural and wine tourist nature.

Finally, regarding the fam trips, five trips were organized for international travel agents and operators, in collaboration with local organisations such as Turisme Rural de Girona. Particularly noteworthy was the group visit by six specialised travel agents from Madrid, five British tour operators focused on active tourism holidays and a representative from the Belgian agency Local Hideaways.
