Belgian tour operators request information on the MICE and sun & sand tourism offering

For the first time, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board took part in two workshops organised by the Spanish Tourism Office in Brussels with the goal of presenting tourism products and several tourist destinations in Spain to professionals working as travel intermediaries in the Belgian outbound tourism market.

During the workshops, held in Brussels and Antwerp, the Tourist Board held meetings with 15 representatives of outbound travel agencies that requested information on the products and services offering of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees (mainly in the sun & sand and MICE segments), including Caractère, Voyages Gillain, Executive Travel, Accent Events, Cameleon Travel & Incentives and Thalasso Europ.



During the Belgian trip, representatives of the Tourist Board also visited the central office of the tour operator Thomas Cook/Neckermann in Ghent and held meetings with several of its destination brand managers and product managers.

The Tourist Board saw this promotional and marketing event as an opportunity to sound out the Belgian market and analyse its trends, as well as to increase its influence on them, since at the moment the only event in which the Tourist Board regularly participates is the Salon des Vacances.
