Trade fairs
With the summer season fast approaching, the Board takes part in the international tourism fairs Expovacaciones and IMEX.
MAY 2023
From 5 to 7 May, the Expovacaciones fair was held in Bilbao with the participation of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and eleven towns and organisations promoting the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees’ tourist options in the Basque market. Coinciding with the fair, the Board launched the immersive cube ‘Inside the Costa Brava & Girona Pyrenees quiz’, attracting numerous visitors at the fair. At the same time, it organised special private wine tastings of some forty-five wines from the DO Empordà Wine Route.
Later, from 23 to 25 May the IMEX professional fair was held in Frankfurt with the participation of the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau which presented the destination’s MICE services and facilities and met with thirty agencies from the business travel sector from around the world.
