Tourism fairs in issuing markets

The tourism offer of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands increases its presence in February in four international tourism fairs.


MARCH 2014

The Patronat de Turisme, together with local tourist offices and tourism companies, is participating in three international tourism fairs in February in different parts of Europe, as well as in the Navartur international tourism fair in Pamplona, with its own 100 m2 space in which gastronomic tastings take place and food and craft products are on display and for sale.

Salon des Vacances in Brussels

The tourism offer of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands was incorporated within the Turespaña stand. The Patronat de Turisme participated together with the towns of Lloret de Mar and Calonge-Sant Antoni.

From 5th to 7th February 2010
Salon Mahana in Tolosa

The Patronat de Turisme participated in the Salon Mahana show in Toulouse to promote the tourism services and products of the Costa Brava and the Pirineu de Girona at the Catalonia stand. Along with the tourist towns of Roses, Castell-Platja d’Aro, Lloret de Mar and Blanes, the following entities participated in the fair: the Petits Grans Hotels de Catalunya independent hotel association; the Riembau, Sant Pol and La Siesta campsites; the Can Güell hotel; the Hotel Beds chain; and the Catalan Pyrenees and Mountain Campsite Association. Puigcerdà and the La Molina ski resort, making its debut at the fair this year, were included in the Pirineu de Girona space as part of the Pirineus de Catalunya brand.

The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava is present at the fair as part of the Turespaña stand. The tourism products and services of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands, in particular the sun and sand offer, nautical activities, cycle tourism, culture and gastronomy, are the most popular among Italian visitors.

NAVARTUR in Pamplona
From 19th to 21st February the tourism offer of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands travels to Navartur, the international tourism fair held in Pamplona. The Patronat de Turisme has its own 100 m2 stand featuring nine towns and tourism companies from the Girona area: Blanes, Castell-Platja d’Aro, Calonge-Sant Antoni, Begur, L’Escala-Empúries, Figueres, Roses and Vall d’en Bas; Turisme Rural Girona; and the Vall d’Aro and Interpals campsites.

Visitors to the fair will have the chance to taste local food products such as pastries, cured sausages and anchovies. Typical craft and food products of the area will also be on display and for sale at the stand. A workshop will be held the day the day before the fair involving the activities that are taking part in the fair and the travel agencies of the autonomous community of Navarre.
