Tourism fairs
Active participation at FITUR (Madrid) and at the International Congress of Food Tourism FoodTreX (Pamplona).

From 19 to 23 May, the 41st International Tourism Fair (FITUR) was held in Madrid, with a hybrid format. The Costa Brava Tourist Board of the Provincial Council of Girona and Lloret de Mar participated in the Catalonia stand. At the fair, sector professionals and visitors alike were able to learn about the tourist offer of the Costa Brava and Pyrenees of Girona, along with the latest proposals for tourism products and services for the 2021 season. Furthermore, thirty meetings with tour operators, travel agencies, the media and content creators were established. On the days that the fair was open to the general public, the Costa Brava stand answered a lot of requests for information from visitors interested in travelling to the area, particularly in relation to the anti-COVID measures adopted by the towns and by tourism companies. As a new feature this year, following the strategy for the digitisation of the Tourist Board, promotional materials were digitised and can be downloaded with a QR code.
Finally, on 27 and 28 May, the International Congress of Food Tourism FoodTreX was held in Pamplona. For the second consecutive year, the Food and Wine Marketing Club participated in the Congress workshop.
