The Costa Brava hosts the 2nd Xtrem Running athletics competition

The second Costa Brava Xtrem Running race will be held in the spring of 2010, run along paths belonging to the GR92 and along Girona’s coastal paths.

The second Costa Brava Xtrem Running race was presented on 3^rd December at the Sabadell Tennis Club. It will be run along paths belonging to the GR92 and along Girona’s coastal paths from Blanes to Portbou from 23^rd to 25^th April 2010, coinciding with Sant Jordi’s Day.

In his presentation speech, attended by more than seventy people and aimed at athletics professionals, the event’s technical director, Xavier Marina, presented the race, listing the technical material that participants must carry and providing an explanation of the route. He also explained that the Xtrem Running event incorporates three parallel races: the Xtrem, the Challenge and the Selva Marítima, with different routes and total distances. Each race will be covered in three stages held over three days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Now in its second year, the race enjoys the backing of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona and the collaboration of the companies Botigues Vèrtic, ChampionChip and Waldoproduccions.
