MARCH 2014

In September the events scheduled by the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona over the course of two years to celebrate the Centenary of the Costa Brava will come to an end. Specifically, on Sunday 12th September, the Gran Casino Costa Brava in Lloret de Mar will host the Closing Ceremony of the Centenary, which more than five hundred people are scheduled to attend, among members of the Catalan Government and of the Honorary Committee of the Centenary, the mayors of the Costa Brava towns, businesspeople from the tourism sector and representatives of institutions and organisations from all over the province.

The Closing Ceremony aims to be a tribute to the Costa Brava. As such, during the event a taster menu of dishes from the Costa Brava Menu will be served, prepared by sixteen Costa Brava brand restaurants that include Michelin-starred restaurants, restaurants involved in the Centenary Menu initiative and restaurants that have participated in producing the recipe book of Costa Brava dishes matched with San Miguel beer. This gastronomic gala dinner aims to highlight one of the main attractions of the area and its chefs.

After two years of celebrations, the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona will bring the Centenary of the Costa Brava to an end, leaving behind a legacy of tourism initiatives and products that will serve to continue the promotion of the area.
