The Centenary is promoted at the “Village Catalan” in Toulouse

A dinner based on the Costa Brava Menu promotes the gastronomy of the destination.

MARCH 2014

The opening ceremony of the “Village Catalan” took place on 22nd April in the Hostal Occitània in Toulouse with the presence of the media, tourism sector professionals and dignitaries. Following the presentation of Catalonia as a tourist destination, a selection of canapés were served, based on dishes from the Centenary Menu in celebration of the Centenary of the Costa Brava, accompanied by Catalan musical performances.

The chef Xavier Arrey of the El Pati Verd - Hotel Carlemany restaurant in Girona prepared a selection of canapés based on dishes which form part of the Costa Brava Menu and which represent the most characteristic and unique cuisine of the Costa Brava.

This action shows once again how gastronomy and good cuisine constitute an element of heritage that is closely linked to the Costa Brava, an element that is given full recognition in the Centenary celebrations and is present in many of the scheduled cultural and festive events of the Centenary.
