Successful participation of Girona at the Gastronomic Forum Santiago 2010

The gastronomic and tourism products of the Costa Brava and the Pirineu de Girona were very well received at the Gastronomic Forum Santiago 2010, held from 21^st to 24^th February.

The participation of the Patronat de Turisme and Girona Provincial Council, together with that of 20 companies and 7 cuisine collectives from the Girona area at the Gastronomic Forum Santiago 2010, held from 21^st to 24^th February, was very well received by the general public and delegates alike.

For four days, the 100 m² stand of the Girona area became a focus point for promoting the area, exchanging information and knowledge, making presentations and selling products. It is worth highlighting that the Girona producers taking part in the Forum sold almost all the products on sale at the site.

This year, the main novelties provided by the Girona area at the Gastronomic Forum Santiago were, on the one hand, the large number of products shown by exhibitors and agro-food producers, together with tastings of ten types of wine, and, on the other hand, the presence of seven cuisine collectives from the counties of Girona that held thematic cooking workshops at the Catalonia stand and prepared recipes of Girona cuisine. It is worth pointing out that Ferran Adrià and Joan Roca were present at the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona Stand, supporting the promotion of the gastronomy of the counties of Girona.
