Promotional events in the UK

The Costa Brava is promoted together with Jet2.com in the cities of Glasgow, Kettering, Chester and Leeds

British airline Jet2.com has launched its operations at the Girona Costa Brava airport and the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board marked the occasion with a series of business meetings and promotional presentations on the Costa Brava’s tourist destinations in Glasgow, Kettering, Chester and Leeds on 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 May, respectively. The events were attended by 200 travel agents, mainly from the Jet2Holidays travel wholesaler, along with 10 media outlets from the northern UK. The first press presentation, attended by 20 journalists, was held in Glasgow on 16 May, followed by a workshop on the Costa Brava on 17 May that gave Girona tourism organisations and companies the chance to hold interviews with 40 travel agents interested in discovering the destinations attractions and specific products for the 2016 season. A second workshop for 57 travel agents was held in Kettering on 18 May. The promotional campaign continued the next day in Chester and ended on 20 May in the city of Leeds at the Jet2.com headquarters with 80 agents travel and journalists.
