Promotional actions for end customers

Girona and the other cities in the Girona area along the AVE high speed rail line are promoted at the Expotren Fair in Lleida and at the Hardy Butts Custom Bike Rally in Lloret de Mar.

The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, representing the overall tourism offer of the Girona area and presenting the cities from the Girona area that are located along the AVE high speed rail line, took part for the first time at the Expotren Railway Model Making and Tourism Fair, where it shared an information point with the city of Figueres, from which tourism products and services targeted at the local Catalan market were promoted on 12th and 13th June.

The Patronat de Turisme informed visitors to the fair of tourism products and services related to gastronomy (gastronomic campaigns and food product fairs), culture (trails, visits, summer music festivals and other events) and active tourism activities (including greenways or old railways, and nautical activities, among others).

Furthermore, Lloret de Mar hosted the second Hardy Butts Custom Bike Rally on 11th, 12th and 13th June.

The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona placed an information point on Lloret de Mar’s seafront promenade to promote the tourism offer of the Costa Brava among the participants and visitors of the Hardy Butts Rally.

More than 2,000 bikers from all over Europe (France, the UK, Portugal, Russia, Germany and Italy) showcased a wide variety of custom bikes in Lloret de Mar. Apart from the motorbike exhibition held over the weekend, visitors were able to enjoy fantastic free activities such as an impressive bike show featuring all kinds of articles related to Harley Davidson bikes and their customisation, a technical service, test runs, music concerts, private parties, a bike parade on Saturday evening, a trip along the Costa Brava, a kids’ club and the participation of the world’s top custom bike specialists.
