The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board closes out the year by participating in the ILTM luxury tourism fair, promoting the region’s MICE options in Lyon, France, and a visit to the destination by four American bloggers interested in food and wine experiences

The Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees Unique Premium marketing club promoted premium tourism in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees at the ILTM luxury tourism professional trade fair in Cannes (France) from 5 to 8 December. The fair provided an opportunity to hold 38 interviews with representatives from European, American, Canadian and Asian agencies. The Tourist Board also promoted the destination’s MICE tourism in Lyon for 10 event organising agencies. The agencies showed interest in the destination and see potential in the region’s wide range of MICE options, the value for money it provides and its direct connection with France’s TAV (high-speed railway). Bloggers Savored Journeys and 2Fooftrippers, specialised in food and wine trips, closed out December’s promotional activities with a visit to the destination to discover the region’s tourism products and activities that help potential visitors dive into local food and cuisine through local food products and culinary traditions. Participating bloggers developed video and blog content for social media in order to influence and contribute to the promotion of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona brands.
