Promotion of sports tourism

International promotion of rowing facilities and training camps.

From 11 to 15 September, the Tourist Board's Sports Tourism marketing club, jointly with the Banyoles Swimming Club and the Banyoles Tourist Information Office, were present at the village of the 2024 World Rowing Masters Regatta held in Brandenberg, Germany, to promote sports destinations in the province of Girona and the 2025 World Rowing Championships that will be held in Banyoles from 10 to 14 September next year. 3,500 rowers from 700 clubs in 51 countries came to the competition in Brandenburg.

Lastly, on 18 and 19 September, the World Football Summit was held in Seville. This is a specific event for the football sector, which the Sports Tourism marketing club attended to promote training camps at the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees (Costa Brava Elite Football Training Camps), jointly with Royalverd Training Center, Torremirona Golf & Spa Resort and the specialised incoming travel agency Evenia Travel.
