Promotion of business tourism

The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau ends the year having participated in 14 workshops and conducting 415 interviews with professionals in the sector.

DECEMBER 2023

From 13 to 15 December, the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau took part in the Global Mice Forum workshop in Cádiz, meeting with 25 Spanish event planning companies, to end the 2023 financial year.

The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau –on behalf of the 140 associated Girona organisations and companies– concludes an intense year of participation and attendance at 14 national and international workshops and forums that garnered a total of 415 interviews and meetings with professionals specialised in business tourism and congresses, and companies and agencies that organise events and incentive trips.

In 2023 the Bureau attracted promotional events to the destination such as the ‘Break the ICE Forum Costa Brava Girona’ –with the participation of 80 professionals from the meeting tourism sector from all over Europe– and was also highly successful in co-organising the ‘Sports & Events Workshop Costa Brava Girona’ action, which brought more than 150 suppliers and buyers from the sports and MICE sector from around the world to the Costa Brava. It also participated in important international events such as the IBTM World fair, IMEX Frankfurt, InVoyage Marbella, Pure Meetings & Events and the Associative MICE & Forum Inside.

A significant figure from the activity carried out by the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau was the generation of 150 direct business requests.

It should be noted that the next edition of the Global MICE Associative Forum 2024 will take place in the city of Girona and the destination will also be hosting the InVoyage Girona-Costa Brava and Meet Catalunya events.
