The public sector discovers new tourism products at local Catalan destinations

Mercat d'escapades Catalan tourism products, activities and destinations were presented to local markets at two tourism fairs in Catalonia The first Mercat d’Escapades trade fair, spearheaded by the Catalan Tourist Board in order to promote tourism in Catalonia’s interior regions and mountains, was held in Barcelona from 20 to 22 March. A total of 111 companies and organisations participated in the event, ten of which were on hand to promote the province of Girona. A number of tourism packages and products were presented, along with the Vívid Wine Festival programme and the Ennatura't campaign, both promoted by the Tourist Board. Tourism in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees was later promoted at the Ram a Vic trade fair from 27 to 29 March. On this occasion, seventeen Girona tourism organisations and companies shared the latest offers in tourism for the 2015 season.
