Promotion of business tourism

The second Costa Brava Challenge Week generates 600 interviews among professionals and incorporates CSR activities.

From 26 to 29 September, Girona province hosted the second edition of the Costa Brava Challenge Week promotional event, organised by the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau, at which it raised awareness of the province’s business tourism offering among 40 professionals from agencies that specialise in event organisation, associations, communication agencies and travel managers from nine European countries. 38 institutions and companies from Girona in the sector also took part at the event, the programme of which included a workshop and four fam trips to the province. The workshop generated 600 interviews.

Significantly, the La Fageda cooperative, the Mona Foundation, the Sèlvans Association and the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park were involved in programming the corporate social responsibility activities for participants on the fam trips so that they could learn about initiatives also offered to visitors and associated with the province’s social and sustainable development.
