Seven international journalists specialised in hiking and golf visit the Costa Brava.

MARCH 2014

One of the highlights was the visit by a group of Dutch journalists specialised in active tourism from the Op Pad magazine, published by ANWB, the most important automobile association in the Netherlands. The journalists covered the section of the GR-92 route that links the towns of Roses and Portbou exclusively on foot with the aim of gathering information on the trail for the publication of an eight-page feature.

Meanwhile, at the start of the month, four international golf journalists from Today’s Golfer Magazine, Golf Monthly Travel, the golftoday.co.uk website (all from the UK), among others, visited the destination to look at its golf clubs and courses, as well as to discover other aspects of interest in the area. Additionally, in the last week of October, the French journalist Jean-Louis Aragon, of Golf Magazine, visited the Costa Brava to produce a ten-page feature on three top-class golf courses and their respective resorts.

The Patronat de Turisme has organised these promotional initiatives aimed at international media outlets with the support and collaboration of tourism organisations and companies from the Girona area.
