More than fifty prescribers visited the destination, including digital content creators, specialised travel agents, and journalists.
In September, on-site promotional activity resumed with the organisation of 16 discovery and experience trips to destinations in the province of Girona targeting 52 professionals and prescribers in the fields of travel marketing and communication.
Six fam trips were programmed in which 27 tour operators and travel agents from the United States and a number of European countries took part, mostly focused on discovering upmarket tourist products, wine and gourmet food, campsites, MICE and active tourism possibilities at the destination. Among the professionals, there were representatives from agencies such as Jeka (Benelux), Reiseteam (Norway), Sun Camp (Poland), Smartflyer (USA) and EZ Travel (Mexico), among others.
In the case of the press trips, 15 journalists from national and international communication media —Descobrir, Gentleman, The Independent, Golf Bladet, Manchester Confidential, Libelle or Silent World— took part in specific programmes to prepare reports and articles on content focused on gastronomy, scuba diving and culture in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees.
Finally, the blog trips included the visit by a group of six content creators specialised in travel, lifestyle and wine from North America, such as @winememoir, @winedestinations or @candicemathist, and also by the Catalan chef and communicator Arnau Paris, winner of the Master Chef 9 programme and presenter of the Cuines programme on TV3, to the North Costa Brava to experience and enjoy original wine and fine food experiences.
All of these actions have been carried out with the support and participation of the partner companies of the Tourist Board's marketing clubs and, in specific cases, the Board has taken part in other initiatives promoted by these organisations and companies.
