DECEMBER 2015

premi-panorama-2015 The film 815 Africa, directed by Pilar Monsell, won the first Panorama Platja d'Aro-Costa Brava prize in competition with sixteen other works in the Panorama category. The strong creative skills and the personal point of view of director Pilar Monsell were recognized and rewarded by the jury of the festival with a prize equivalent to a one-week stay in the Catalan village of Castell-Platja d'Aro to discover the surroundings, enjoy a time for creative thinking, and, at the same time, enjoy an experience that may lead to a future project that might be developed in the town of Platja d'Aro. By taking part in this festival, the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board seeks to enhance the places and towns of Girona as film locations because of the economic and the promotional impact films and television productions generate in the province. Similarly, the depiction of natural resources, heritage and identity of the territory on the screen helps to project the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees brands abroad.
