National Geographic Traveler
The American magazine National Geographic Traveler once again includes Girona and the Costa Brava on a new list of tourist destinations to visit: “Best Spring Trips 2012”.

For the second time in five months, the digital version of the American travel magazine National Geographic Traveler includes various tourist attractions from the Costa Brava and the “Temps de flors” flower festival in Girona on a new list of world-class tourist destinations for visiting in spring 2012.
The “Temps de flors” flower festival in Girona, the Cap de Creus Natural Park, the Dalí Theatre Museum in Figueres and the El Celler de Can Roca restaurant are the tourist attractions the editors have highlighted. This time, the Girona destination is presented with a photograph of the steps of the cathedral of Santa Maria in Girona garlanded with flowers and a brief descriptive text. Other destinations on the list include Washington, Wales, Austria, Turkey, Chile and Norway.
Inclusion on the list is the result of a positive assessment by the editors of the digital version of the American magazine National Geographic Traveler, including the journalist Marilyn Terrell, the magazine’s head of research. Terrell visited the Costa Brava as a guest of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona during the promotional Costa Brava international blogtrip #InCostabrava, organised last spring to coincide with the “Temps de flors” festival in Girona.
