The Patronat de Turisme has launched an online advertising campaign on Minube, the social media travel website, targeting one million potential visitors for the destination.

The Patronat de Turisme has launched an online advertising campaign on Minube, the social media travel website, to promote the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destinations and to address travellers directly at the organisation and planning stage of their trips.

Minube is a Spanish social media travel website. With an international presence in France, Germany, Italy and Portugal, it is one of Spain’s top ten travel websites. One million users per month can obtain information on tourism destinations or plan trips based on user recommendations, while at the same time sharing experiences, photos and videos.

The campaign that the Patronat de Turisme is launching on Minube forms part of its programme of promotional and communication actions aimed at raising the profile of its official website. Minube features a customised Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona page divided into 3 sections: nature, culture and gastronomy, and activities. It also incorporates a promotional video, contact information and a link to the official website of the destination and its social media.

The terms of this advertising campaign mean that the Costa Brava-Pirineu de Girona will be one of Minube’s featured destinations for one week in November, during which it will appear as a suggested search target, popular destination and traveller profile. The destination also will be promoted through the website’s newsletter, press releases and tourism promotion blog, as well as being featured in several banner ads on Minube.
