In addition, the Girona chef Joan Roca, from El Celler de Can Roca, received the MICHELIN Chef-Mentor Award 2023 in recognition of his work in training several generations of chefs who have not only learned avant-garde techniques but have also been steeped in the sector’s traditional values of dedication and commitment. And Toni Gerez, maître d’hôtel at the Castell Peralada, has received the MICHELIN Service Award 2023 in recognition of his magnificent work as head waiter and sommelier.
Finally, in recognition of their work in sustainable gastronomy, El Celler de Can Roca and Les Cols have been given MICHELIN Green Stars, within a trend which continues to gain ground.
