Intense media campaign in southern France to attract visitors to Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees destinations

Ads in the La Dépêche du Midi newspaper, posts and 20-second videos uploaded to YouTube and Facebook channels, and banners on websites including Tripadvisor.fr, Edreams.fr, Lemonde.fr, Itineraire-maps.fr, Goyages.fr, Lonelyplanet.fr, Lastminute.com, Abritel.fr, Leparisien.fr, and Ladepeche.fr, were the focus of the latest media campaign targeted at segmented and specific audiences in several cities in southern France. The campaign resulted in over 800,000 hits in digital media alone, with the Costa Brava promotional video receiving over 26,000 views and Facebook reaching 176,029 people. Promoted by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, the media campaign was rolled out from 10 to 25 February to promote awareness of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees among the inhabitants of the cities of Narbonne, Carcassonne, Toulouse and Saint Gaudens. At the same time, the campaign also focused on promoting the province of Girona as the perfect tourist destination for holidays and getaways year round –including winter– to stimulate an increase in the number of bookings and visitor traffic to the destinations’ tourist websites and official profiles.
