Initiatives for opinion leaders

Two fam trips are organised for a US travel agent and 50 Ukrainian agents.


JANUARY 2019

From December 3rd to 8th a fam trip was carried out on the Costa Brava for the Cruises by Steve travel agency, with the aim of showcasing the region’s tourist offering for cruise passengers wishing to make a trip before or after a cruise calling at the port of Barcelona. The travel agent visited four-star and five-star hotels and took part in different activities in the region, including electric bike rides, cultural visits, wine tasting, gourmet food sampling, mindfulness activities and shopping. The aim of this initiative is to highlight the strong points that US cruise passengers are likely to expect from a destination like the Costa Brava. In addition, on December 10th a fam trip to Girona was organised for Join Up!, the oldest and most established tour operator in Ukraine. The initiative brought 50 travel agents to the destination, all of whom showed a keen interest in visiting the city of Girona. The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board provided a presentation of the destination, a gourmet meal and a guided tour of Girona.
