Health and Beauty Blogtrip

Tourism businesspeople from the health, beauty and wellness sector organise the first blogtrip specialised in the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destination.

From 19th to 23rd October, the Health and Beauty Marketing Club of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona organised the first blogtrip aimed at showcasing the Costa Brava’s personal health and wellness offer to six top journalists and opinion leaders in social networks and contributors to health and women’s magazines.

Top Spanish online opinion leaders and influencers from the health, wellness and beauty sector took part in the blogtrip. Beauty sector blogs, which contain information on products, establishments and destinations, are enjoying constant growth and now reach millions of users throughout Spain. Leading online and print journalists were invited to take part in the blogtrip. Rosy Martínez de Burgos is a contributor to the magazines Woman and Man, as well as to the Onda Radio station. She also runs the formulabelleza blog; Beatriz Peña has been a contributor to the supplement of El País newspaper for twenty years and runs the top Spanish beauty blog, bellezapura; Anna Farran writes articles in the gentesingle online magazine and also contributes to magazines such as Dunia, Mía, Ser Padres, Clara and Lecturas; Julia Girón was a contributor to the Yo Dona supplement until she was offered the chance a few months ago to join the writing team of mujer, the new online magazine; Beatriz Alegría contributes to different online media such as styldevivre; finally, Carmen Corona is a journalist who writes in the health and beauty section of teinteresa, an online newspaper.

The goal of this initiative, led by the companies that form part of the Health and Beauty Marketing Club of the Patronat de Turisme, was to showcase the quality offer of this highly specific product to those interested in enjoying holidays or breaks aimed at looking after their bodies, being healthy and relaxing in spaces designed for this purpose in an outstanding natural and scenic environment.

This journey of discovery and experiences took place over a five-day period during which those taking part not only discovered and tried out new water treatments and therapies, wines, diets and physiotherapy procedures in the area’s specialised establishments and centres, but also had the chance to go on a tourism trip from the Pirineu to the Costa Brava, discovering the destination at first hand. Establishments such as Hotel Grèvol Spa, El Resguard dels Vents, Hotel Peralada Wine Spa, Hotel & Spa Terraza, Hipócrates Curhotel, Hotel Guitart Monterrey 5*, Hotel & Spa Cala del Pi and Balneari Vichy Catalán participated in the marketing and communication initiative. The trip also included outings, excursions, cultural visits and wine and food tasting sessions.

The Health and Beauty blogtrip in the Girona area could be followed at the @costabrava profiles, in Catalan and Spanish, and using the #inCostaBrava hashtag.
