40,000 Facebook followers

7,000 new followers of the Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona Facebook page 

The 22-day Facebook advertising campaign implemented by the Tourist Board in March and April, aimed at boosting the presence of the tourism offering of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees in social networks and attracting new followers for the Facebook profile itself, achieved 7,000 new followers, bringing the total number of followers up to 40,687 by the end of the spring campaign.

The potential target audience were Catalans over 18 years old with an interest in the culture, gastronomy and nature of the area. The keywords that attracted new users were Dalí, Kilian Jornet, Ferran Adrià, Costa Brava, Girona Pyrenees, sun and sand, hiking, cycle touring, Empordà wines, diving, among others.

The 22-day campaign generated 8 million impressions and attracted 7,588 new followers.

An international advertising campaign is scheduled to get under way soon on the Visit Costa Brava profile aimed at attracting followers from European countries.
