Girona food and wine tourism promoted at the Mercat de Mercats, the Fòrum Gastronòmic as well as in Madrid
Nine Girona tourism organisations and several wineries from the DO Empordà Wine Route Club participated at the Mercat de Mercats fair in Barcelona from 21 to 23 October in order to present Girona’s food and wine to Barcelona locals and visitors alike through a series of tastings and information. The 22 food and wine experiences in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees brochure for autumn/winter 2016 was also presented and distributed at the event. The brochure features food and wine activities like “Sea and urchin tasting aboard the Rafael”, “Mushroom workshop in Montseny”, “Picnic in the vineyards”, “Wine and oil tasting with a winery dinner” and the region’s food and wine nights and cooking workshops. The wine tourism and wine cellars associated with the DO Empordà Wine Route Club were promoted at Barcelona’s Fòrum Gastronòmic as well as at the National Auditorium in Madrid as part of a series of ten concerts from the ‘Bach Vermut (Vermouth Bach)’ initiative, which brings together music and wine.
