The Camprodon Valley is awarded Family Nature and Mountain Destination certification.

On 19 July, the Catalan Tourist Board awarded the Camprodon Valley Family Nature and Mountain Destination certification, which endorses the destination’s specific tourism offering addressed to the family segment. In Girona Province families seeking to meet the expectations of all their members can find numerous and varied proposals ranging from dynamic cultural activities, sports activities in contact with nature and leisure at theme-based venues to a broad variety of tourist accommodation establishments (that offer every convenience and furniture adapted to children), restaurant establishments for tasting both world dishes and the cuisine of Girona, as well as shopping areas and centres. The award of family tourism certification to the Camprodon Valley means that Girona Province now has ten family tourist destinations, eight of which are on the coast —Blanes, Calonge-Sant Antoni, Castell-Platja d’Aro, Lloret de Mar, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Roses, Torroella-l’Estartit and Sant Pere Pescador— and two inland —La Vall d’en Bas – Les Preses and, henceforth, Camprodon Valley—, which offer specific tourist products and services to meet families’ needs and expectations. The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board promotes Girona’s family tourism destinations on the Catalan, Spanish and international markets through promotional action —workshops, commercial visits, fam trips, press trips and blog trips— which it runs throughout the year.
