The Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees are promoted at the World Travel Market, confirming the recovery of the British market.
World Travel Market, the world's leading professional tourism trade fair, was held in London from 5 to 7 November. The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board took part in the event as part of the Catalan stand.
The event served to showcase the tourism offer of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees, foster synergies and collaborations with strategic tourism agents and learn about trends in the British market for 2025. Meetings were held at the Catalonia stand, specifically in the Costa Brava workspace, with around twenty professionals from tour operators (Jet2holidays), travel portals and agencies (El Corte Inglés and Destinia), as well as the media (NKM Media, Iberia Media). Also present at the fair were Lloret Turisme and representatives of Girona-based tourism companies.
The second day of the fair featured the presentation of Let's Welcome CONNECT Aviation 2025 in Girona-Costa Brava, an event focusing on air transport connections and route development, which the city of Girona will be hosting from 3 to 5 February 2025.
Also in London, from 14 to 16 November, the Board's Sports Tourism Marketing Club was present at the Rouleur Live fair, specialised in cycling and attended by the sector's leading brands, at which it promoted the destination's specific offer for cyclists.
And lastly, from 19 to 21 November, as part of the Catalunya Convention Bureau stand, the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau participated in IBTM World, one of the top business tourism fairs, held in Barcelona. During the action, it met with about 50 agencies specialising in the sector.
