Facebook competition

The Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona Facebook channel is promoted through competitions and prizes (stays, meals and activities).

To boost the presence of the tourism offering of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destination in social networks and to raise the profile of various events in the province, two competitions were held in February on the Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona Facebook page.

The first competition was held to promote the Figueres International Circus Festival. Those taking part could win a two VIP circus tickets including dinner and backstage passes, along with one night's accommodation in Figueres.

The second competition was held to promote the Cerdanya Ultra-Trail, with the prize of free registration for one of the races. The aim of these initiatives is to boost activity on the Facebook page, to promote events and to raise the profile of various companies, associations and towns in the destination.

Over the course of the year, the Patronat de Turisme is implementing a new Facebook competition campaign consisting of three large competitions, each offering several prizes, which will be promoted for a full month online. This strategy is aimed at increasing the number of participants and making the competitions more attractive, in order to improve the promotion and dissemination of the Facebook page.
