100 prizes up for grabs over the Easter period on the Facebook page.

The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board of Girona Provincial Council has launched a new promotional campaign on the Facebook page of the Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona destination to raise the profile of its tourism offering on social networks and to support companies in the tourism sector. The page currently boasts 33,611 followers and expects to boost this number by the end of the campaign.

Three major competitions will be held over the course of the year with prizes including stays, meals and activities, courtesy of tourism companies and entities based in the Girona area.

The first one is held over Easter and will be promoted online from 15th March to 15th April. On this occasion 109 prizes are up for grabs for those who take part in the competition. The companies that collaborate in the campaign will be given mentions on Facebook and Twitter during the competition period in order to generate traffic on their own profile pages and increase their number of followers, along with their interactivity.

To take part in the campaign, all users have to do is enter the competition application on the Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona Facebook page. The only requirement is to be a follower of the page. To win a prize, participants have to describe their ideal break and, optionally, post it on their wall in order to help the campaign go viral.

When the competition comes to an end a prize draw will take place (through the random.org third-party draw service) to choose the winners and prizes.


With this new initiative, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board aims to increase interaction with followers and strengthen brand commitment, in order to achieve better promotion and gradually increase the number of digital ambassadors of the Costa Brava and the Pirineu de Girona.
