Sixty travel agents, tour operators and film production teams participated in five fam trips

The Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees’ tourism sector hosted a total of 65 representatives from Spanish, British, French, Belgian, Dutch, Russian and American travel agencies, tour operators and film production teams this month.

With the support of Girona tourism organisations and companies, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board coordinated five cultural, food and wine and inclusive tourism visits in the towns of Girona, Vall d’en Bas, Besalú, S’Agaró, Peralada, Castelló d’Empúries, Cadaqués, Begur, Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar, Sant Pere de Rodes, Figueres, Monells and Cruïlles.

Noteworthy is the high level of interest in the destination shown by Spanish and British film teams seeking filming locations, as well as a collaboration with 20 American students from Marymount University (Washington) who were interested in the new concept of Girona as a Game of Thrones city.

Moreover, 15 international tour operators specialised in the inclusive tourism industry visited the region in order to discover everything the destination has to offer for functionally diverse tourists.
