Five golf courses at three golf clubs on the Costa Brava in the European top 50.

The five 18-hole golf courses at the PGA Catalunya Resort, Golf Platja de Pals and Empordà Golf Clubs on the Costa Brava have been included in the British golf professionals' ranking of the 50 best European golf courses (Top100golfcourses.co.uk).
And one of these, the Stadium course at the PGA Catalunya Resort in Caldes de Malavella, has been named the number 1 golf course in the Iberian peninsula for the third year running, while the resort's Tour course was ranked at number 25 in this, the fourth year the ranking has been published.
This recognition coincides with the announcement by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation that the 2014 Spanish Open will be held at the resort from 15 to 18 May.
The Platja de Pals golf course was ranked number 26, while the two courses at Empordà Golf in Torroella de Montgrí, Forest and Links, were ranked 33 and 42 respectively.
