Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau Promotional Event

Promotional and commercial boost to the destination’s business tourism at events in Madrid

Following the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau’s 2016 Action Plan, two commercial and promotional activities were held for the national market as a way to raise awareness about everything the destination has to offer for business tourism, congresses, incentives and conventions.

A representative of the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau scheduled a series of sales visits from 30 May to 3 June; 26 of these professional visits were made with event organising agencies, communications agencies and other associations from the city of Madrid. The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau celebrated a second event at Madrid’s Pangea travel agency on 7 June. Afterwork MICE Costa Brava Girona —an innovative promotional and commercial workshop based on activities and workshops available in the province of Girona— was attended by 20 companies and organisations from the MICE and business tourism sector, along with 52 specialised event organisers and travel agencies in Madrid.

The sales visits and workshop resulted in a bump to the number of inquiries and requests for information from Madrid companies and agencies.
