Eighty travel and tourism opinion leaders and journalists visit the destination in October.
In October the Board arranged nine familiarisation trips, three blog trips and two press visits, with 78 participants, in order to promote the destination’s tourist services and facilities among the source markets for Catalan, Spanish and international tourism.
The province of Girona welcomed sixty travel agents and tourist operators from distant markets such as the United States, Canada, Brazil and Mexico, interested in the Costa Brava’s generic tourist options, as well as European event planners from markets such as Belgium and Ireland, interested specifically in high-end accommodation, MICE, ecotourism products and diving, among others.
The destination hosted visits from French and Dutch travel content creators such as @unmonde2reves and @workingremotly, respectively, but the most important action was a visit from twelve Spanish influencers who generated promotional content on the Costa Brava seen by 7.5 million Instagram and TikTok followers in just ten days.
Finally, French journalists specialising in the golf sector from publications such as Fairways, Followed and Golf Magazine visited the destination to prepare articles and reports on the Costa Brava’s tourist services and facilities.
