The promotional video “Girona, a destination for 360... and 5” is launched

The Costa Brava Girona has worked together with the blogger Miguel Nonay to position the Girona area as an accessible destination in the Spanish market.

The work carried out together on the ground over the last two years, with the support of tourism bodies, associations and companies from the Girona area, has led to the production of a promotional video entitled Girona, a destination for 360... and 5, which shows how the tourism offering of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona has been adapted for travellers with reduced mobility.

The production can viewed on the blogs A salto de mata and Viajeros sin límite, as well as on the social networks of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board. In the video, Nonay showcases the Girona area from the perspective of accessibility. The eight-and-a-half minute video shows the blogger doing a parachute jump, kayaking, sampling the Girona cuisine, diving, horse riding and visiting different towns and villages in the area such as Besalú, L'Escala and Puigcerdà.

Miguel Nonay is a well known blogger who travels all over the world testing the degree of accessibility of tourist destinations, describing his experiences in his blog “A salto de mata” and on the website “Viajeros sin límite”, which features videos on accessible tourist destinations.

The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board has worked and continues to work with several organisations, such as ONCE, Mifas and Elsa Integració, with the goal of structuring and promoting the accessible tourism offering of the Costa Brava, the inland counties of the province of Girona and the Girona Pyrenees. The Tourist Board is keen to raise awareness in the tourism sector of this growing niche of the market. As such, it is implementing strategies geared towards promoting the Girona area as a year-round destination and enabling the local tourism sector to reach its full potential, standing out among competing destinations with high quality products.
