Sea Otter Europe and Costa Brava Bike Days

The Year of Cycling on the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees culminates with two large festivals and with the Costa Brava Bike Days commercial activity.

The first edition of the Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava - Girona Bike Show took place in Girona from 2 to 4 June. 30,000 visitors were registered and 350 brands from the cycling and tourism sectors were present. In the exposition and exhibition area, the Board's Nature and Active Tourism Club had a 15-m² promotional space shared with the Girona Greenways Board. Twenty-three companies and tourist bodies from the territory also participated in the festival. To coincide with the Sea Otter Festival, the Nature and Active Tourism Club carried out the promotional action Costa Brava Bike Days from 3 to 7 June, addressed at 13 international tour operators from eight countries to promote the cycling offer in the territory and position it as a cycle tourism destination. Within the context of this action, a familiarisation trip and two workshops with 30 Girona companies from the cycling and cycle tourism sector were organised. Finally, the Tourist Board supported the Girona Cycling Festival, held from 12 to 18 June and organised by the agency Bike Breaks Girona, which offered diverse outings and activities for a week.
