The tourism figures for the 2024 season in the Girona region are presented, confirming the robust dynamics of tourism, and 2024 is defined as the “new reference year for tourism”. The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board presents the Plan of Actions and Objectives (PAO) 2025 to the industry and begins the new year by participating in seven international tourism fairs, promoting itself in Milan together with the Girona Football Club, activating the new portal with the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees' high-end offer, and welcoming the first professional visits to the destination by travel agents and journalists, especially to the Girona Pyrenees.
The Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees received 8.5 million visitors, generating 28.3 million overnight stays in the 2024 season, 2.3% more than the previous season.
Participation is planned in ten generic tourism fairs and in seventeen thematic events, six of them for the first time.
