Vies Braves (Sea swimming lanes)

From the waves emerges the Vies Braves, the Costa Brava's public network of marine itineraries

It is sun and sea time on the Girona coast and a new tourist offering is introduced. It incorporates a host of quality, yet diverse, products offered by the Costa Brava to its visitors and promotes open water swimming andsnorkelling. Vies Braves is a unique public-private initiative propelled by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board of the Girona Provincial Council, the open water swimmer Miquel Sunyer and the company TechnojetSwim. The coastal municipalities of Llançà, Roses, l'Escala, Palafrugell, Platja d’Aro, Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Lloret de Mar are implementing Vies Braves, new freely accessible sea itineraries for users to enjoy the Costa Brava from a sporty, fun and touristic perspective For the 2014 bathing season, the project takes place across seven Girona coastal towns and at the inland city of Banyoles. It boasts a total of 13km of itineraries that are signposted and marked with buoys and which follow the coastal patrol paths and allow the swimmer to safely enjoy and explore the coast in a different way.
