Reale Catalan Open Golf Tournament on the Costa Brava
The Costa Brava hosts a new elite golf tournament, the Reale Catalan Open, following the success of the Spanish Open tournament in April.

The 29th Catalan Open professional tournament was hosted by the Golf Girona course from 14th to 17th October. Ninety professionals and six amateurs took part in this event organised by the Catalan Golf Federation and held for the first time in the Girona area.
During the Catalan Open tournament, institutional bodies, sponsors and golf equipment companies were present in the leisure and commercial area of the Golf Girona venue in order to publicise their commercial and promotional activity amongst professionals, spectators and the press. The Patronat de Turisme, together with the Costa Brava – Empordà - Girona Golf Courses Association, had a stand where it distributed merchandising and promotional material on golf and on the area’s tourism offer.
The Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona brand was visible in the form of graphic displays placed in several spots around the course. The golf tourism offer of the destination as a whole was also publicised in the official tournament magazine, in media outlets and on websites.
