Promotional activities for influencers

Six bloggers and four journalists visit Girona for a first-hand look at everything the region has to offer in summer

The promotion of the region’s cultural attractions has been intense in July and August, marked by the extensive range of festivals celebrated both on the coast and inland, as well as local festivities. The Board has promoted these types of events through the Costa Brava Girona Festivals brand, with posts, mentions, and articles about the region published by seven Spanish and German bloggers from the Travel Inspirers group (Guías Viajar; La Viajera Empedernida, Viajablog; Paco Nadal, supongo; Freibeuter Reisen), who attended events like the Tempo Sota les Estrelles music festival in Girona, the Gastromusical in L’Escala and the Porta Ferrada in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The bloggers also visited popular tourist towns like Roses, Sant Pere Pescador, Portbou, Cadaqués and Peralada. Girona’s culinary attractions were also promoted, with American blogger AnneLise Sorensen (AnneLise Travels) checking out the region’s outstanding food and wine during her trip to Capmany, Peralada, Ventalló and Girona. The Board also collaborated with the ARA newspaper on an article about active tourism in L’Escala and Empúries and filmed a report about Tamariu, Calella de Palafrugell and Cadaqués for the French television channel TF1.
