Promoting Conference Tourism
Two initiatives to promote and develop the congresses and meetings business in the province of Girona

The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau organised a meeting for thirty Barcelona-based conference organisers to persuade them to bring their events to the Girona area and promote them.
The first Meet In Costa Brava event brought together members of professional medical associations and hospitals, research institutes, foundations and professional associations who influence and participate in the decision-making process on where to hold industry conferences and professional meetings.
Meanwhile, from 2 to 4 April, the Girona Conference Centre, as a member of the ICCA, hosted the annual assembly of the Iberian peninsula chapter of the ICCA, in partnership with the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau. Seventy eight people from Spain and Portugal attended the conference, learning about the tourist attractions and MICE services on offer in the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona area. The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau hosted a welcome dinner for delegates on the night of April 2 in the green room of Girona’s Teatre Municipal.
