Honorary Plaque for services to Tourism, awarded by the Catalan Government

The Patronat de Turisme receives the Honorary Plaque for services to Tourism, awarded by the Catalan Government in recognition of the commemoration of the Centenary of the Costa Brava.

On 3rd December 2009 the Catalan Government will award an Honorary Plaque for Services to Tourism to the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona for its work in organising the commemoration of the Centenary of the Costa Brava.

Through the 2009 Turisme de Catalunya Awards, the Catalan Ministry for Innovation, Universities and Enterprise aims to recognise the work carried out by professionals, companies and organisations of the sector in contributing to tourism development in Catalonia.

The President of the Catalan Government, José Montilla, accompanied by the Catalan Minister for Innovation, Universities and Enterprise, Josep Huguet, will preside over the awards ceremony of the 24th Turisme de Catalunya Awards. The Catalan Government will grant 22 awards on this occasion: 2 Honorary Awards, 10 Tourism Medals and 10 Tourism Diplomas.

The Patronat de Turisme receives the plaque on the occasion of the commemoration of the Centenary of the Costa Brava in recognition of its organisation of a series of functions, events, artistic and cultural initiatives, and promotional actions, which over the course of the year have showcased the attributes and values of this tourist destination at home and abroad.

Enric Vilert, President of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona will accept the honorary plaque in a ceremony that will take place at the Palau de la Generalitat (headquarters of the Catalan Government) and that will be attended by several representatives of the Catalan tourism industry.
