2.0 Training

Two new professional training workshops took place in December within the Tourism 360º training programme.


MARCH 2014

Wednesday, 4th December: "Online advertising applied to the tourism sector", led by Montse Peñarroya, CEO of Quadrant Alfa research and training in digital marketing, attended by 33 professionals. This session dealt with online advertising models, including different formats (banner ads, texts, Rich Media ads, etc.) and types of advertising rates (CPC, CPM, CPL, etc.), focusing in particular on advertising on Google, Facebook and Twitter, as well as on the main affiliate marketing sites. The workshop ended with an analysis of advertising results using Google Analytics.

Wednesday, 18th December: "Introduction to Jewish tourism. Trends in this market", in Alp (Cerdanya). Session focusing on the Israeli market. The session consisted of a section aimed at tour operators in which an Israeli tour operator explained the specific needs and tastes of Israeli tourists, and a second section in which the tourism trends of this market were explained. Some 40 tourism professionals from the Girona Pyrenees took part in the workshop.

The next training session is entitled "Accessibility in the tourism area" and will be held in Olot on 28th January.
