Three international professional events focus on promoting the gourmet food and wine, cruise, and sports tourism sectors.


JUNE 2025

On the occasion of “Catalonia, World Region of Gastronomy 2025”, the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board took part in the Workshop Buy Catalonia-Tasty Catalonia, held in Tarragona and organised by the Catalan Tourism Board to promote the DO Empordà Wine Route and the destination’s wine and gastronomy offerings. The Buy Catalonia is the meeting point between Catalan tourism providers and international operators with 78 specialised international operators taking part. Following the workshop, two familiarisation trips to the destination were organized with twenty-five operators taking part where the objective was to give them first-hand experience of the services and experiences that the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees offer to potential clients. 

Subsequently from June 10 to 12, the 66th MedCruise General Assembly was held in Cartagena. The event was attended by its members (ports, destinations, services, incoming agencies, shipping agencies), totalling more than one hundred fifty professionals. During the meeting sessions, around ten interviews were held with cruise companies such as Four Seasons Yachts, Seabourn Ultra-Luxury Cruises & Expeditions, Orient Express Sailing Yachts, Star Clippers, Mystic Cruises, Marella Cruises, AIDA Cruises, Silversea, among others, interested in the services offered by the Costa Brava Cruise Ports brand.

And, finally, from 16 to 18 June, the Tourist Board took part for the first time in the Host and Federations Summit Workshop in Lausanne (Switzerland). This is a professional event focused on sport in which the Tourist Board was co-exhibitor on the Catalonia stand. Two networking sessions were held, with a total of about twenty meetings.
