Participation is planned in ten generic tourism fairs and in seventeen thematic events, six of them for the first time.

JANUARY 2025

In 2025, the range of tourism products and services on offer on the Costa Brava and in the Girona Pyrenees will be promoted through the participation of the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board in twenty-seven national, state and international tourism fairs aimed at both professionals and the general public.

The aim of this activity is to promote tourism and new developments in the main outbound tourism markets for destinations in the region of Girona and, at the same time, to cultivate contacts and relationships with travel agents, travel websites, the media and the end public. This year, it will be taking part in six events for the first time: the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago (USA); the Wein Gourmet Festival in Baden-Baden (Germany); the Salon Occ’ygène in Toulouse; the Salon des Seniors in Paris (France); the Matka in Helsinki (Finland), and the North America Golf Tourism Convention in Alabama (USA).

The organisation plans to participate in ten generic tourism fairs: six within the promotional space of Catalonia (Vakantiebeurs, CMT, Fitur, ITB, B-Travel and WTM) and four with its own booth (Free München, Navartur, Mercat del Ram and Expovacaciones). It will also attend seventeen specialised trade fairs (Salon de la Plongée, Salon Les Nautiques in Port Camargue, Salon Occ’ygène in Toulouse, Wein Gourmet Festival in Baden-Baden, Copenhagen Bike Show, Rouleur Live, World Football Summit, Synergy - The Retreat Show, IAGTO, Paris Golf Show, Matka, North America Golf Tourism Convention, IMEX, IBTM World, Seatrade Cruise Global and Seatrade Cruise Med) to promote the range of products and services in the nautical, food and wine, wellness, golf, active and sports tourism and business tourism sectors, among others.

In January, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board participated in seven tourism fairs that were held in different parts of the world: the Vakantiebeurs in Utrecht (Netherlands), the Salon de la Plongée in Paris (France), the CMT in Stuttgart (Germany), the Matka in Helsinki (Finland), the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago (United States) and Fitur in Madrid.
