Fairs

Participation in four specialised international tourism fairs.

MARCH 2025

On 1 and 2 March, the Sports Tourism Club participated in the Catalonia booth at the Copenhagen Bike Show to promote the region's cycling options to the Nordic market. A specific presentation of the destination was made to visitors of the trade show.

From 4 to 6 March, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board attended the ITB fair in Berlin to promote the destination's new tourism offerings for 2025 from the Catalonia booth. At the trade show, the Board met with a dozen or so representatives from tour operators and travel portals. The German market, which currently ranks third among international markets for destinations in the Girona area, is on the upswing, having registered 6% growth in overnight stays during 2024.

Following this, the Board participated in two themed fairs in Paris. From 12 to 15 March, it attended the Salon des Seniors for the first time. Aimed at the over-55s, the Board took advantage of this event with a dedicated booth to promote the specific tourism options available in Girona for this target audience. And from 15 to 17 March, it attended the Paris Golf Show, with the Costa Brava Golf Marketing Club at the Golfy booth, where it promoted the specific offer to the French public.

Finally, from 28 to 30 March, the Tourist Board used Catalonia's booth at the B-Travel tourism fair to promote the tourism products offered by the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees to the Catalan public, alongside the local councils of Blanes and Empuriabrava - Castelló d’Empúries, within the Costa Brava space, and the regional councils of Cerdanya, Ripollès, Garrotxa and Alt Empordà, within the Girona Pyrenees space.
