Press and familiarisation trips

The Tourist Board organises press and familiarisation trips and provides assistance for ten travel professionals and journalists

The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, with the support of tourism organisations and companies of the Girona area, organised five press trips in July and August with the goal of showcasing the destination to eight journalists from Madrid, Germany and Japan. In addition to the journalists, two agents from the Israeli travel agency Astha & Suranga visited the Costa Brava and the Pirineu de Girona on a familiarisation trip.

Madrid-based journalists from media outlets including Efetur.com, Condé Nast Traveller and Expansión visited the Costa Brava. In the case of Efetur.com, assistance was provided by Miquel Suñer, ambassador of the Costa Brava. Meanwhile, two German journalists of the DPA (Deutsche Presse-Agentur) and the Dumont publishing house, respectively, visited the area on individual trips aimed at discovering cultural and heritage aspects of the destination. Support was offered by the Tourist Board. Finally, a producer from the Japanese television channel TV NHK BS Premium & World Premium, Kumiko Masame, requested support for filming the museums of the Dalí triangle.

From September the Tourist Board will be stepping up its activity in terms of organising and carrying out press and familiarisation trips.
